**Position Summary**
As a Clinical Development Pharmacist, you will create and maintain clinical content for drugs covered under the pharmacy benefit. This specific role will focus significantly on Medicare Part D. You will use and develop a strong knowledge of specialty pharmaceuticals, disease management and therapeutics. Knowledge of utilization management interventions including prior authorization, step therapy, quantity limits and formulary exception is required.
Additionally, you will work in a matrix relationship with business partners and product teams to identify, develop, and monitor the impact of programs on supporting drug coverage through the pharmacy benefit. You should have experience interpreting drug information to support UM. Knowledge of regulations impacting UM for Medicare clients is preferred. It will be necessary to create clinical content for Medicare Part B, including standard and client requested programs with the ability to be consultative to product owners, Trade, account management and clients.
This is a hybrid role and will be based out of our Pittsburgh, PA or Buffalo Grove, IL office locations.
**Required Qualifications** :
- Active pharmacist license that is in good standing in state of residence
- 3+ years of clinical pharmacy experience
- 2+ years of experience with Medicare Part D
- 2+ years experience of clinical therapeutics for specialty and/or oncology drugs
- Proven proficiency in literature search and evidence-based medicine
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently

**Pay Range**
The typical pay range for this role is:
$118,000.00 - $206,250.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
