Powerwell is a leading recruitment firm helping our clients discover top talent. We are recruiting for a TIG & MIG Welder (Second Shift). Candidates must be able to work our client’s second shift hours (4:00pm-Approximately 1:30am EDT) on site in Philadelphia, PA. Candidates may have to work half a Saturday every other week for any overtime needs.

Job Description:

We are currently looking for an experienced TIG and MIG Welder to keep up our client’s level of commitment to safety and customer service. This is a fabulous opportunity for a knowledgeable, hardworking welder to apply his or her skills in our production facility located in Northeast Philadelphia. In this role, the successful candidate will work in coordination with the shop supervisor and other senior management to ensure that all manufacturing equipment is fit and welded to the specifications of each job and meets outlined requirements. They will work closely with other team members to meet company goals. This role offers comprehensive benefits and competitive pay packages. What you Offer:

Extensive knowledge in TIG/MIG welding and fabrication. Strong ability and in-depth knowledge of common welding processes, uses of jigs, fixtures and other template equipment, physical dexterity for welding and fabrication processes and blueprint interpretation. Competent inspection of weld joints, welding processes, and the ability to be proficient in most areas of general welding fabrication.

Work Environment:

• Fast paced work environment in and around industrial machinery.
• Cold storage environment. Production rooms are kept at a constant 32 degrees (and below in certain areas). Ability to withstand cold storage temps for extended periods of time.
• Noise level varies and at times can be loud.

Physical requirements:

• Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
• Capability to stand in one place for 80% of the shift (over eight hours per day).
• Capability to walk throughout the department for 20% of the shift (over eight hours per day).
• Capability to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis with reasonable accommodation.
• Requires the frequent use of both hands and arms.
• Capability to bend, twist, and squat as needed throughout the shift (over eight hours per day).
• Must be able to work in a Safety Sensitive Position.
