Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the definition and formalization of Level 0 propulsion system requirements , ensuring completeness, consistency, and traceability.
  • Develop high-level functional requirement artifacts using IBM DOORS Next Gen (DNG) and PLM ENOVIA , applying correct attribute classifications and taxonomy.
  • Contribute to early-phase target definition and alignment with vehicle-level requirements, customer expectations, and regulatory constraints.
  • Drive continuous monitoring and maturation of requirements across architecture design, simulation, and testing activities.
  • Guarantee alignment of system requirements with downstream component, function and software specifications.
  • Support design reviews , verification planning , and requirement sign-offs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure integration of simulation and physical test results into the requirements validation process, providing support for root cause analysis when test or simulation outcomes deviate from requirements.
  • Conduct impact analysis and change management in response to design changes or validation findings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Automotive, Energy, or Systems Engineering.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in system engineering, preferably in propulsion-related roles (OEMs, Tier-1s, or consulting).
  • Solid understanding of hybrid systems (xEV) and electric vehicle (BEV) architectures.
  • Proficiency with requirements engineering tools (IBM DOORS, Polarion, Jama, or similar).
  • Familiarity with vehicle development lifecycle , including concept definition, design freeze, EOL (end-of-line), and delivery phases.
  • Experience interpreting simulation models , testing results , and technical specifications.
  • Ability to work across functional domains (hardware, software, controls, thermal, etc.).
  • Excellent command of technical English , both written and spoken.

Software & Tools:

  • Expert-level knowledge of IBM DOORS Next Gen (DNG) and PLM systems (e.g.: ENOVIA) .
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite : Word and PowerPoint (for technical reporting and presentations), Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, graphs, and query analysis).
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, internal PLM/ALM systems) and Agile/Waterfalls project management.
  • Bonus: Experience with simulation and testing environments such as MATLAB/Simulink , GT-SUITE , or AVL tools .
