Job Description

Shop Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Shop Technician to join a service team in the Frazer, PA area. This position is responsible for the assembly, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of pumps, valves, instruments, and various process equipment in our in-house facility. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is eager to support field service projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, disassemble, and repair pumps, mixers, actuators, valves, and other mechanical process equipment
  • Conduct diagnostics and troubleshoot issues with rotating and static equipment
  • Assemble new products per technical drawings and manufacturer specifications
  • Perform hydrostatic and functional testing of equipment before shipment or after repair
  • Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inspection reports
  • Coordinate with sales and operations staff on project schedules and customer requirements
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following shop safety protocols
  • Assist with loading/unloading of equipment and parts as needed
  • Occasionally support field service work at customer sites (may require limited travel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of mechanical or industrial equipment repair experience (pumps, valves, motors, etc.)
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting tools and techniques
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and assembly drawings
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training a plus
