The Lustgarten Foundation is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, compassionate, and hands-on Senior Coordinator to lead a dynamic portfolio of fundraising events—from our signature Walks for Pancreatic Cancer Research to third-party community fundraisers.
This is a pivotal role for a connector and doer —someone who builds strong relationships, manages logistics with care, and turns passion into action. No task is too big or too small. You’ll collaborate with volunteers, donors, vendors, and internal teams to deliver mission-aligned events that inspire and engage.
What You’ll Do
• Plan and manage Lustgarten Walks and community fundraising events
• Serve as the primary contact for volunteers, donors, sponsors, venues, and vendors
• Support peer-to-peer fundraising with encouragement and operational expertise
• Oversee event logistics, timelines, budgets, and CRM data
• Partner with marketing to enhance supporter engagement
• Represent Lustgarten with empathy, professionalism, and energy
What You Bring
• 4+ years in nonprofit event planning, fundraising, or donor relations
• Intellectual depth, entrepreneurial drive, and interpersonal warmth
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills—with the ability to inspire action
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated experience with complex databases and the ability to quickly learn fundraising platforms (Virtuous or similar CRM tools preferred)
• Budget and vendor management experience
• Able to lift 30+ lbs and travel regionally (evenings/weekends required)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
