Job Description

TTP Entertainment is seeking energetic and charismatic “PULSE” SHOW GUIDES to join the growing production team that will deliver Bob Marley Hope Road at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. As a Pulse Guide at Bob Marley Hope Road, you will play a crucial role in taking care of our guests as well as setting the stage for an authentic Jamaican experience. Reporting to the Venue Manager, Pulse Guides will take care of our guests’ safety and comfort while bringing the authentic Jamaican spirit to life throughout the experience. From the moment patrons arrive to the time they leave, this performer will embody Jamaican culture. The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to entertain, a strong stage presence, and a deep understanding of Jamaican dialect, music, traditions and specifically what Bob Marley means to the Jamaican culture. You will be the key point of contact and go above and beyond to ensure the guest experience leaves them saying, “YA MON!” as they sing, dance and vibe through the experience with you. 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Show Flow Assistance – Seamlessly transition patrons from one part of the experience to another while maintaining character and energy; 
  • Escorting Guests Out – Bid farewell with a warm and memorable Jamaican send-off, leaving a lasting impression on the audience; 
  • Guest Safety – Monitor the crowd to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment; identify and respond to any disruptive or unruly behavior among guests; calmly de-escalate tense situations using effective communication and conflict resolution skills, in accordance with company policies; escalate issues as needed to the Venue Manager to remove non-compliant guests; 
  • Abide by and adhere to all safety protocols as instructed by management and enforce venue policies and procedures consistently and fairly; collaborate with shift managers to document incidents and provide basic crowd control and emergency assistance if/when necessary; 
  • Maintain awareness of Mandalay Bay resort restaurants, services, restrooms, shows, events, and amenities to further assist guests during their time on property; 
  • Ticket Collection & Guest Greeting – Welcome guests with an enthusiastic Jamaican greeting in authentic Patois, assist in queueing guests, scan tickets, and set the tone for the experience; 
  • Hand Out Glasses & Guide Guests – Distribute themed 3D Glasses while maintaining an engaging presence, ensuring guests feel immersed in the culture; 
  • Maintain Character Throughout the Experience – Stay fully committed to the role, bringing infectious energy and enthusiasm while interacting, dancing and singing with patrons; create an authentic Jamaican atmosphere, engaging patrons from arrival to departure using genuine Jamaican dialect, expressions, and warm hospitality; 
  • Interactive Performance - Execute support choreography and staging as taught by the show choreographer and director while interacting or leading the crowd; 
  • Interactive Storytelling & Entertainment – Keep guests engaged with lively anecdotes, dance moves, sing-a-longs, cultural insights, and impromptu performances; 
  • Assist the performance by accurately and promptly executing production cues as required - this could include the placement, retrieval and handoff of props and people; 
  • Prep the venue before, after, and during changeover of the performances; 
  • Understand and incorporate feedback, performance notes and coaching from company leadership to continuously improve your performance and contribute to the overall guest satisfaction; 
  • Other duties as requested or assigned. 

 

 

Education/Experience  

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 
  • At least one (1) year customer service experience in an entertainment and/or resort setting; 
  • Experience working in a theater, box office or live event venue with audience management would be an asset; 
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment; 
  • Experience in theater/acting. 

 

Physical Job Requirements & Skills  

The position requires an energetic and thoughtful customer service-oriented theatrical guide with a positive attitude who possesses the following skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and remains calm under pressure; 
  • A neat, clean, professional appearance and demeanor; 
  • Available and able to work varied shifts, including weekdays, weekends and holidays; 
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including navigating through crowds, standing, bending, climbing, crouching and kneeling, often for extended periods of time. 

 

Compensation/Additional Information  

Rate of pay: $20.00 per hour. Hours vary depending on the needs of the role; both part-time and full-time opportunities are available, with an average expectation of 20 – 40 hours per week. TTP Entertainment also offers excellent medical, dental and vision insurance, plus additional paid time off.

 

This role is based in Las Vegas, NV and operates in a full-time in-person capacity. This individual is expected to work primarily onsite at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
