EōS Fitness is looking for a highly motivated and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Payroll Coordinator. In this role, you will provide essential support in the timely and accurate processing of payroll checks for multiple locations and states within our organization. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist in the full-cycle processing of bi-weekly payroll for over 8,100 employees across multiple locations and states (currently 124 locations within CA, NV, UT, FL, TX, and AZ).
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to calculate employee wages based on exempt and non-exempt positions, including team members who earn pay based on piece-rate pay.
  • Ensure accurate payment of overtime, double time, vacation, sick leave, holiday pay, meal breaks, etc., in compliance with state and local requirements.
  • Support in ensuring accurate vacation and sick time accruals.
  • Collaborate with the team to process Garnishments/Liens according to court-ordered instructions (with support from third-party vendors).
  • Assist in investigating and resolving any pay issues/discrepancies and answer any questions regarding payroll.
  • Work closely with the team to manage all aspects of the payroll process, such as approving transactions and reviewing exemptions.
  • Assist in changing individual payrolls as required by management, such as tax deductions or salary adjustments.
  • Support in maintaining payroll systems and reporting any issues to management.
  • Collaborate with the team to audit payroll transactions to ensure that accounts, payment dates, and taxes are accurate and up to date.
  • Assist in creating monthly and annual payroll reports for management review.
  • Ensure all payroll systems comply with federal tax laws.
  • Address any payroll-related queries or questions from employees/management.
  • Prepare reports for quarterly, yearly, and weekly reviews for management.
  • Stay updated with state and local wage laws and assist in ensuring payroll practices are adjusted accordingly.
  • Work with department heads to update various types of pay for commissions and bonuses.
  • Provide support to Gym Managers/Management team in training on payroll processes and expectations.

Qualifications and Expectations:

  • 1-3 years' experience as a Payroll Coordinator or in a similar role, preferably with exposure to payroll processing.
  • Preferred: Certification in payroll (CPP, FPC, CPM, ADP).
  • Prior experience in processing payroll for multi-state companies is a plus.
  • Recent experience handling commissions, FLSA, Piece Rate Pay, and state-specific meal/rest break compliance.
  • Familiarity with implementing various earnings codes.
  • Excellent knowledge of payroll software, preferably ADP Workforce Now or ADP Workforce Manager.
  • Understanding of labor legislation and federal tax laws.
  • The ability to work ethically with employee-sensitive information.
  • Strong data entry management skills.
  • Highly efficient in multitasking and staying focused through interruptions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with team members while providing outstanding customer service.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Assertive and capable of reinforcing policies and promoting self-sufficiency.

Requirements:

  • Must successfully pass Background Check.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to access and operate Company computer systems including preparing documents, enter data into computer system, read reports from a computer database or email system.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, hybrid role (2-3 days a week in the office located in Phoenix, AZ)

Compensation: $25- $30/H, DOE
