Job Description

Global Investment Mangement firm is seeking a dynamic paralegal to join their legal team in the NYC office. They are seeking a proactive team player to support the legal team and work collaboratively across other business areas of the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, prepare, and file corporate documents, including but not limited to formation documents and amendments, dissolution/cancellation certificates, and LLC and LP agreements, among others
  • Assist with organizational formation and dissolution documents, along with the counsel
  • Collaborate with entity management team and organize corporate records
  • Assist with regulatory filings
  • Respond to due diligence and KYC requests
  • Perform corporate secretarial functions
  • Develop strong working relationships and partnerships with other teams to support client needs
  • Ensure that all Legal team records are stored in secure, organized file systems to support shared knowledge and compliant record-keeping
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities for the Legal team
  • Coordinate signatures for documents and various materials
  • Ensure firmwide understanding, including training, of the processes and procedures for working with the Legal team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of experience at a top law firm, an in-house legal department, or Financial Services firm
  • Familiarity with typical fund structures
  • Ability to prioritize projects and work within a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent planning and organization skills; meticulous attention to detail is a must
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to roll up sleeves to get things done
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
