Purpose of Role

The Channel Merchant – drives and delivers merchandising strategies tailored to the Wholesale Team Sports business inclusive of Apparel, Accessories & Cleated/Footwear. This role has a strategic emphasis on Team Sports, particularly in cultivating growth among key accounts in the wholesale channel. You'll play a pivotal role in advancing Under Armour's presence through targeted merchandising strategies tailored to wholesale partners with alignment to key culture and sports moments within the calendar. The Merchant supports the delivery of a line plan to meet consumer and account needs while ensuring alignment with financial goals and growth opportunities. The Merchant works cross-functionally throughout UA to inspire a collaborative and supportive operating environment and be a consensusbuilder who drives results. This is a unique position to drive growth within the Team Sports division with close connectivity to the Product, Marketing, Sales Teams and other Channel Merchants to integrate multiple product categories and launches.

Your Impact

• Contribute to the development of a comprehensive long-term merchandising and growth strategy for Team Sports within the Wholesale Channel.
• Develop line plans that meet respective channel requirements and align with financial targets and channel growth opportunities.
• Assist with and drive improvements in SKU productivity and efficiency across the respective channel.
• Assist in the management of marketplace operations. Implementing segmentation and exclusivity strategies aligned with channel objectives.
• Collaborate with Regional Merchandising Leadership, Product Teams, Marketing and Athlete Services to identify new growth opportunities and revenue streams.
• Support Go-to-Market initiatives in partnership with Marketing, including seasonal storytelling, investment priorities, and product launches.
• Analyze market shifts and performance metrics to inform strategic adjustments and ensure agile responses to business trends.
• Present channel business results at cross-functional meetings, fostering consensus and relationships with key partners.
• Operate and maintain Merchandising systems (Armoury, Trasix, etc.) for the business.
• Contribute actively to advancing merchandising excellence within UA through a combination of strategic direction and hands-on execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 6 years of relevant experience or typically 12 years of relevant work experience without degree.
• Previous experience in a Product Management or Merchandising position.
• Deep passion and interest within the Team Sports category.
• Proven ability to develop profitable merchandising strategies and collaborate effectively across internal teams.
• Exceptional communicator, inclusive of follow-up and follow-through.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
• Decisive and resolute in decision-making, even in ambiguous situations.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore office.
  • Work Schedule: his role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.

Base Compensation

$96,717.40 - $132,986.44 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
