Job Description

About us

Dartcor is a premier provider of workplace dining services across the Tri-State area. We specialize in delivering high-quality, locally sourced meals and customized dining experiences to enhance workplace culture and employee well-being. Our services include on-site cafeterias, micro-markets, pantry programs, and catering solutions, all designed to foster community and productivity within organizations.

Role Overview

As Head of Talent Management, you will be the architect and steward of Dartcor’s people strategy, shaping how we attract, develop, engage, and retain top talent across our corporate dining and hospitality operations. This is a senior-level, highly collaborative role that reports directly to the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team.

You will be responsible for designing and executing a full-spectrum talent management strategy tailored to Dartcor’s high-touch, service-driven culture. This includes overseeing workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, performance management, succession planning, employee engagement, and retention. You must be equally adept at strategic planning and day-to-day execution — rolling up your sleeves to operationalize initiatives and build scalable, people-first programs.

  • Ensure smooth transition and cultural immersion for all new hires.
  • Measure early retention and onboarding success through metrics and feedback loops.

Learning & Development

  • Create and manage career development programs and training pathways for multiple employee levels.
  • Implement leadership development and succession planning for managers, supervisors, and high-potential staff.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and upskilling.
  • Leverage internal mobility and cross-functional opportunities.

  • Facilitate performance reviews, goal-setting cycles, and feedback practices.

  • Develop recognition programs aligned with Dartcor’s culture.

Retention & Total Talent Strategy

  • Monitor and respond to turnover trends with actionable insights.
  • Design retention strategies for different employee groups.
  • Align policies and initiatives with employee experience.

Data, Analytics & Technology

  • Use HR information systems and talent systems to monitor KPIs.
  • Provide dashboards and reporting to inform leadership decisions.
  • Continuously refine programs based on insights and business needs.

What We Need From You

  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in Talent Management or HR leadership, preferably within hospitality, food service, or corporate dining sectors.
  • Proven ability to design and implement full lifecycle talent strategies, including acquisition, onboarding, development, performance management, and retention.
  • Strong senior-level leadership experience with a track record of partnering with executives and coaching managers.
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically, leading high-impact initiatives while managing day-to-day execution.
  • Data-driven mindset with expertise in HR metrics, governance, analytics, and talent software (e.g., ADP).
  • Proficiency with HRIS, talent acquisition systems, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, project management, and change leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required; Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
  • Located within commuting distance to Whippany, NJ, and available to work onsite 4–5 days per week
