General Superintendent – St. George, Utah

This is for a leading heavy civil contractor in Southern Utah who is looking for an experienced General Superintendent to join their team. If you have a strong background in highway construction, excavation, grading, or underground utilities — and you're looking to bring your leadership to a company where your impact will be felt throughout the field teams this could be for you.

• $120K–$160K+ base salary (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Field Operations – Oversee crews, subcontractors, and day-to-day jobsite activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity
• Mentor Team Members – Provide guidance and training to Field Managers and Project Engineers
• Communicate Clearly – Lead preconstruction meetings, daily huddles, and ensure all stakeholders are aligned
• Manage the Details – Track production, review timecards, manage change orders, and ensure quality control is upheld
• Stay Proactive – Maintain and update a 4-week lookahead schedule to keep work on track
• Foster Safety Culture – Lead by example and ensure all safety protocols are followed

Ideal Candidate

• 8+ years of experience as a Civil Superintendent on heavy civil construction projects
• Strong technical knowledge in excavation, grading, utilities, or roadway work
• Proven leadership skills with a hands-on, team-first mentality
• Excellent communicator and field-based problem-solver
