Job Description

Event Marketing and Social Media Manager

Location: Baltimore / Columbia Maryland | Partially Remote | Travel Required

Industry: Hospitality / Consumer Experience / Pet Lifestyle

About Bark Social

Bark Social is more than just a dog bar—it's a community built around cold beer, coffee, and canine companionship. With locations at dog-friendly bars and parks across the region, we're redefining the social scene for humans and their furry best friends. Now, we’re looking for a charismatic, detail-obsessed Events Marketing Manager to take our in-person experiences and brand to the next level.

What You'll Do

As the Events Marketing Manager, you'll work with our Owners to build the strategy, planning, and execution of unforgettable Bark Social events—from Yappy Hours to breed meetups to brand pop-ups. You'll also be the behind-the-scenes wizard ensuring every detail runs flawlessly, and the on-the-ground personality that lights up a room (or a park).

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute in-venue events at our dog-friendly bars and parks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align events with seasonal promotions and brand campaigns
  • Manage vendor relationships, promotional materials, and event logistics
  • Develop and own the event calendar across all locations
  • Attend and host weekend events on a rotational basis
  • Travel to regional Bark Social venues to oversee activations
  • Drive event attendance through savvy social media campaigns (Instagram, TikTok, Threads, etc.)
  • Capture content on-site and collaborate with our creative team to publish fun, engaging recaps
  • Track event ROI, attendance metrics, and community feedback to continuously improve the experience
  • Potential to travel to trade shows throughout the country a few times per year

Who You Are

  • A master planner who lives by calendars, checklists, and contingency plans
  • Social by nature, with a confident and charismatic on-site presence
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented—you notice what others miss
  • Comfortable working evenings/weekends as needed
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects across multiple locations
  • A digital native fluent in Instagram Reels, TikTok trends, and short-form content
  • Able to travel occasionally for work (2–4 trips per year)
  • Dog lover. (Bonus points if you’ve ever thrown a birthday party for a pup.)

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in event planning, experiential marketing, or hospitality marketing
  • Strong background in social media marketing and audience engagement
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-touch customer environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (yes, we carry tables and treat bins here!)

Why Bark Social?

  • You'll join a mission-driven team focused on building unforgettable experiences
  • You’ll work in places where dogs are not only allowed—they’re the VIPs
  • Competitive compensation, flexible schedule, and a vibrant company culture
  • The occasional slobbery kiss and tail wag are part of the job description

Ready to Plan the Paw-ty?

If you're equal parts event ninja, marketing maven, and dog enthusiast, we want to meet you.

Apply now and help us make Bark Social the most paw-some place on earth.
