Job Description

Primary Responsibility:

Responsible for providing technical service and support both in the manufacturing shop and in the field.Examples include large project supervisor, electrical testing, installation, start-up, service, repairs to eletro-mechanical apparatus, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities / Duties:

1. Successful completion of shop and field assignments.
2. Partner with personnel to analyze scope of work requirements, current operational procedures, identify problems, and continuous improvement.
3. Trained and demonstrated expertise in the following areas
4. Testing of electric motors, generators, and transformers.
5. Switch gear maintenance and repair
6. Transformer maintenance and repair
7. Interacts with customer to help diagnose apparatus problem/issues.
8. Generate a report to describe the labor that was completed.
9. Provide technical support to customers and field personnel as necessary.
10. Assist in preparation of quotations and/or special projects as required.
11. Travel to Customer locations, when necessary.
12. Service as a mentor to all field personnel in regards to general activities or specialized skill sets, as well as assisting in resolution of work problems related to project specifications.
13. Advocate and follow all quality, safety, and environmental procedures and report any and all noncompliance.
14. Maintain a professional attitude when representing the company during phone, or personal contact with customers, outside vendors, and/or service providers.
15. Document/report all customers’ complaints to quality department. Make every effort within your sphere on influence to resolve the complaint immediately.
16. Provide support for any special projects as assigned by the General Manager. These special projects, at the determination of management, may or may not become part of your primary responsibility.

Measures of Success:

1. Service efficiencies, i.e. low rework and warranty costs, manpower utilization, control of expenses, etc.
2. Projects and service calls adequately meet or exceed customer expectations.
3. On-time completion of project(s), service calls and service reports.

Preferred Position Qualifications:

1. Hands on experience in medium to large service projects for periodic and major maintenance of electro-mechanical apparatus and turn-key overhauls
2. In-depth knowledge of an area of expertise and field service experience.
3. Computer skills in Excel and Word and have
4. Excellent customer service interface experience. The position demands an individual who is

Required Qualifications:
