A leading digital infrastructure provider is seeking a Director of Construction to lead client-focused project delivery across multi-MW data center sites. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for driving operational excellence, cross-functional team coordination, and top-tier customer engagement.

This is a hybrid role based in Northern Virginia, responsible for overseeing client delivery for enterprise and cloud clients across multiple data center sites in the region.

Position Overview

The Director will manage the successful planning, financial oversight, and client coordination of data hall build-outs, upgrades, and commissioning activities. This role bridges internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring project execution aligns with contractual, technical, and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the client-facing lead for data center construction projects, ensuring alignment across internal departments and subcontractors
• Manage overall project delivery from scope definition through completion, with a focus on efficiency and timely completion
• Lead and support project managers across concurrent sites
• Oversee procurement, vendor onboarding, and contract negotiation processes
• Produce regular reports on project milestones, risks, and financial performance
• Work closely with construction, operations, design, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing technical infrastructure or data center construction projects
• Proven ability to manage client expectations and internal delivery teams
• Skilled in construction documentation, project budgeting, and delivery schedules
• Strong communication and leadership skills with experience coordinating across diverse technical teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
